This Lititz, PA kitchen remodel transformed an outdated and dysfunctional space into a stunning, family-centered kitchen filled with character. The homeowners, who love hosting their children and grandchildren, had grown frustrated with a layout that simply did not work. The existing white cabinets had yellowed with age, and the kitchen lacked basic conveniences. There was only a refrigerator, so the freezer had to be kept in the garage, and the oven was located in the island, making it unusually low and awkward to use. Combined with an oversized island that seated everyone in a straight line and cabinetry that offered more frustration than function, the space no longer suited their lifestyle.

Our goal was to create a kitchen that not only functioned beautifully but also welcomed people in. The new design introduced wide-plank hardwood floors throughout the first floor and fresh green cabinetry that sets the tone for the space. A redesigned island now wraps around to seat ten comfortably, encouraging conversation and connection. Storage was greatly improved with a thoughtful mix of drawers, cabinets with doors for larger items, and a tall pantry cabinet. Concealed appliances, including a refrigerator and freezer with matching wood panels, blend seamlessly into the cabinetry. A dedicated beverage area with a walnut accent cabinet and bar sink adds warmth and character, while a relocated double wall oven and a hidden appliance garage make cooking and entertaining far more efficient.

The finished kitchen balances functionality with a welcoming atmosphere that reflects the homeowners’ love of family gatherings. The expansive extra thick quartz island top now serves as the true centerpiece, providing plenty of room for meals, conversations, and time with grandchildren. Natural light highlights the layered details, from lighted glass cabinetry to the warmth of walnut accents, giving the space both character and sophistication. Every choice was made to support daily living as well as large family events, creating a kitchen that feels timeless, inviting, and perfectly suited to the way the homeowners live. The result is a timeless, character-rich kitchen that finally gives this family the open, inviting, and highly functional space they envisioned.
